Privacy Policy
The short version
Your files never leave your device. Every tool on yourbrowsercandoit.com processes files entirely in your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. There is no upload step, no server-side processing, and no file storage — we couldn't look at your files if we wanted to, because they never reach us.
Files and file contents
All file processing (PDFs, images, audio, video, text, archives) happens client-side on your device. Files are held in your browser's memory while a tool runs and are discarded when you close or reload the page. We never receive, transmit, log, or store the contents of your files, the text you paste, or the passwords and passphrases you enter.
Analytics
We use Umami, a cookieless analytics service, to count which tools get used. Each count contains the page or tool name, and for a finished job only the output file type (like “pdf”) and a size range (like “1–10 MB”), plus what any website sees: the referring site, browser, device type, screen size, language, and approximate country. It never contains file names, file contents, text you type or paste, search terms, or error messages. Umami sets no cookies and uses no persistent identifier. We see totals, not people. No other analytics or tracking scripts run on this site, and the site’s security policy would block them if they tried.
Hosting and server logs
The site is served by Cloudflare Pages and its CDN. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard connection data (such as IP addresses) to deliver the site and may keep short-lived server logs for security and performance. This applies to loading the pages themselves, not to your files, which are never transmitted.
The vote feature
If you suggest or vote on a tool, we store the suggestion text and a salted hash of your IP address in Cloudflare KV. The hash exists only to limit duplicate votes; it is one-way and we do not store your raw IP alongside votes.
Third-party libraries
Some tools load open-source libraries (for example ffmpeg.wasm, Tesseract.js, and PDF libraries) from the jsDelivr CDN, and the background-removal tool downloads its model from IMG.LY’s CDN (staticimgly.com). Your browser requests these files directly, so those CDNs see a standard web request (including your IP address) when a library downloads. The libraries then run locally; your files are never sent to them or anyone else. The browser enforces this: the site’s Content-Security-Policy only allows requests to the servers listed here.
Offline storage on your device
A service worker saves the site’s code and the libraries you’ve used in your browser’s cache so tools work offline. It stores code only, never your files. Clearing site data in your browser removes it.
