## How it works

The image is rendered to a canvas in the browser at its native resolution. Drag from one corner to the opposite to mark the crop region; the selection is shown with a dashed overlay. When you hit Crop, just the selected rectangle is written to a fresh PNG (lossless, transparency preserved if the source had it). The minimum crop size is 4x4 pixels (anything smaller is treated as a misclick). For aspect-ratio-locked crops (e.g. exactly 16:9), you'd need to size by hand currently. Output filename has -cropped.png appended. Useful for grabbing a face from a group photo, isolating a chart from a screenshot, or trimming whitespace.

## How to use it

2. **Drag to select.** Draw a rectangle from one corner to the other with mouse or finger.
3. **Crop.** Hit Crop and only the selected region is written to a fresh PNG, transparency preserved.
4. **Download.** The -cropped.png downloads instantly, all done locally.

## Frequently asked questions

### How do I crop an image online?

### Can I lock to a specific aspect ratio?

Not in this version. The selection rectangle is free-form. You can resize the result afterwards with the Resize tool if you need an exact ratio.

Yes. The crop is written as PNG, no re-encoding artefacts.

No. The crop runs in a canvas in your browser.
